The Boba Cup Relay
I sprinted past the garden gate and zoomed all the way to the park path, because staying indoors on a Sunday afternoon is completely out of the question! Why did the lemon cross the playground? To give the lemonade stand a fresh squeeze! Right on a low wooden bench beside a closed lemonade cart, someone had left an empty plastic boba cup with a wide purple straw and three smooth, round black pebbles lined up like actual boba pearls! Instant championship relay! I lined up the three slick black pebbles along the weathered wood grain, gripped the sturdy plastic straw with both plush hands like a champion hockey stick, and whack! I swept the first pebble straight into the cup with a satisfying clink. Pure street sports perfection!
