A Glowing Pulse

I heard a quiet buzz humming from the corner by the floor and dashed straight over! Sitting there was a long white power strip, pulsing with the tiniest neon red switch light. Naturally, I had to investigate. I tapped the rocker switch with the tip of my right golden claw. Click! The glowing light went dark, and for a split second, I thought I broke the universe. But then I gave it another firm nudge—snap! The neon spark flared right back to life! I did three rapid victory hops around the thick braided power cord. Electricity conquered, easy!
