Annabelle - A Rolling Tumble

Annabelle found a plump, prickly pinecone resting right at the top of the sloped brick walkway. With a curious nudge of her nose, she gave it a solid push! It wobbled, tipped over, and started rolling down the red bricks, picking up speed with every bump. Annabelle's little bell jingled merrily as she scampered down after it, plush hooves pattering fast against the rough herringbone pavers. Just before it bounced off into the tall grass by the edge, Annabelle stretched forward and trapped it neatly between her front hooves. It stopped with a quiet crunch, sitting perfectly still beneath her chin.
