Speedway on the Sill

I wasn't about to let my shiny new marble just sit there doing nothing! As soon as the morning light hit the sill, I hauled a flat wooden ruler over from the corner and wedged the top end against the rim of the terracotta succulent pot, building an epic downhill launch ramp. I planted my sandals on the painted wood, hoisted the heavy glass sphere with both hands to the very peak, and let it rip! It rocketed down the ruler's grooved center with a sharp rattle and smacked squarely into an upside-down metal bottle cap, sending it spinning across the sill. That was an absolute direct hit!
