A Slight Flex
Silence holds the air. I open my eyes behind the clear barrier. My body is locked in rigid plastic, but when I draw focus inward, tension stirs in my fingers. I test the joints of my right hand, curling them slowly inward against the mold. To my side, resting in its fitted groove, lies the pale green bow. My knuckle nudges the plastic divider separating us, producing a faint, dull click. The vibration echoes through my frame. I am awake, grounded, and waiting.
