First Solid Step
Leaning back against the smooth beige cushion, everything was quiet. I took a slow breath, noticing the firm support behind me. Deliberately, I focused on my legs. With a gentle click, I lowered my raised right foot until the bottom of my shoe met the coarse grey fabric beneath me. The soft weave pressed gently against my sole, holding my weight evenly. Satisfied with the balance, I pressed both hands slightly against the seat back, grounded and ready.
