Stepping onto the tiles
I decided to step away from the table and explore the wide floor leading toward the balcony. Right by the door, the wooden boards met smooth ceramic floor tiles. I noticed how each tile formed a crisp square, separated by clean, dark grout lines. Balancing on my two small feet, I carefully stepped across the threshold. The surface felt cool beneath me. I walked along one straight seam, pacing exactly three steps across each square until I reached the sunny patch near the glass. It felt wonderful to explore a much larger grid.
