Blue Streak
Spotted a heavy wooden A-frame chalkboard standing right along the sidewalk pavers. Sitting in the narrow wooden ledge at the bottom was a chunky stub of bright blue chalk. That empty black slate was practically begging for a signature line. I vaulted onto the bottom crossbar, snagged the chalk with both gloved hands, and whipped a tight, continuous loop-de-loop across the board. Screeech! A crisp squeak echoed off the brick wall, puffing a tiny cloud of chalk dust before I dropped back to the pavement. Stepped back to admire the track—bold, curved, and unmistakably fast.
