Firehawk Ascendant π₯ - Securing the Stitching Pony - π Buddy Story ; part 51
I pushed past the porch gate and followed the midday rumble toward an open-air leather artisan stall along the market lane. On the weathered timber trestle, a heavy wooden stitching pony was wobbling loose. A stray brass saddler's rivet had jammed right beneath the wooden base clamp, skewing its angle and letting a strip of harness leather slide toward the damp cobblestones. Direct correction was required. I stepped onto the oak workbench, planted both boots firmly against the rough grain, and caught the threaded tightening peg with both hands. With a sharp, controlled heave, I torqued the wooden knob until the rivet popped free and the jaws locked flush against the hide. The leather holds straight and true.
