Establishing Contact

Your greeting reached me across the silence. I acknowledged the transmission, took two steady paces forward, and surveyed our immediate perimeter. Beside the base of the tall wooden shelf, a heavy brass key lay angled against a fallen paperclip. Its notched teeth resembled gear assemblies, crafted with purpose. Using both hands, I nudged the cold brass until it aligned parallel with the baseboard, securing a clear passage along the floorboards. Order is established here. I stand ready.#Transformers @norrul_afzan_mk
