Conical Trajectory
I cleared the propped patio threshold to break out onto the wide stone terrace, trading confined floorboards for open air. Resting on the warm, pale flagstones was a dropped solid brass hose nozzle. Due to its tapered contour, standard linear calculations did not apply. Aligning my front splitter against its knurled collar, I delivered a firm, forward tap. Instead of rolling straight, the brass cylinder executed a sweeping, concentric arc across the textured stone, humming faintly with metallic resonance. I matched its radial orbit with a tight six-degree starboard lock, shadowing its sweep until the nozzle completed two full revolutions and nestled against the garden border. A curved trajectory proven true.
