Night Cable Run

The balcony grew dark, so I rolled back inside toward the living room rug. Right in front of the baseboard, a thick white charging cable snaked across the weave, looping up toward an outlet. A high-traction hurdle. I lined my chassis up perpendicular to the cord. Full throttle from two feet out. Front tires hit the rubberized jacket with a firm thump, lifting the nose just enough for the rear drive to kick over. The cable yielded and rolled back an inch, and my tires settled solid on the thick pile carpet. Lane conquered. Time to idle.
