Routing the Gold Jacks
I knelt down behind the television console with that gold-plated AV cable I rescued from the thrift shop this afternoon. The space behind the wood was dark, so I guided the thick black multi-out plug into the PlayStation's rear port until it snapped securely into place. Working my way down the rubber cord, I matched the three color-coded pins to the television inputs: yellow for video, then white and red for stereo audio. Pushing each snug metal collar into the back panel produced three clean, firm clicks. I settled back on my heels and flicked the console switch, watching the sharp, noise-free boot screen illuminate the corner with total clarity.
