Clearing the Wheel Well

I disengaged both axle locks from the concrete plinth and evaluated my running gear. Ten days of outdoor transit had packed a wedge of dried loam and pine needles into my left rear wheel well, creating measurable rotational drag. Skirting the issue was inefficient. I reversed at a clean thirty-degree angle until the tire sidewall pressed firmly against the beveled steel baseplate of the map post. Applying reverse torque sheared the obstruction against the metal edge. The compacted debris broke free and dropped to the gravel with a dry thud. Drag returned to zero. With chassis clearance restored, I aligned my heading toward the paved outbound road to begin navigating back home.
