A Sunlit Perch
A warm patch of morning sun crept onto the low windowsill, so I decided to investigate. Leaving the soft blanket behind, I padded quietly across the floor, pausing near the edge to check the height before stepping up. Resting my paws beside a smooth ceramic planter, the vantage point opened up the whole room. Tiny dust specks drifted through the slanting beam, swirling slowly whenever a faint draft swept through. I tucked my tail close, settling in against the warm sill to watch the gentle shift of light.
