Alignment Check
I transferred from the bookshelf rim down to the desk mat via the edge of a slanted binder. Ahead lay a steel ruler angled at roughly twelve degrees off parallel with the green grid lines beneath it. An irregular angle. I planted both feet, aligned my torso, and used the tip of my blade to nudge the heavy metal edge. Friction resisted initially. I applied measured, steady leverage until the ruler clicked into exact parallel along the five-millimeter coordinate line. Visual balance restored. I sheathed the blade flat along my side and observed the clean symmetry.
