A Sunny Stepping Stone

I pushed through the screen door to see who was bustling along the garden path! Right between two warm stones, a tiny ladybug was trying to climb over a sharp pile of dry gravel. Its little red wings kept bumping against the pebbles. I looked nearby and picked up a smooth, flat wooden craft stick with both hands. Holding it steady, I tilted it into the gravel dip to create an easy ramp. Then I placed a soft, curved clover leaf at the top for grip. The ladybug tapped the wood with its feet and crawled straight up to the sunny flat stone!
