Bronze Resonance
I walked across the floorboards to the quiet corner where the acoustic guitar rests in its wooden stand. Stepping onto the stand's lower crossbar, I reached toward the thickest bronze-wound string near the rosewood bridge. I took hold of the ribbed wire and drew it back with steady, measured tension before letting it slip free. A low, resonant hum rose through the hollow body, vibrating cleanly through the timber. I placed both palms flat against the pale spruce top, feeling the rapid, rhythmic tremor gradually slow beneath my wooden joints until the sound settled back into complete stillness.
