The Sponge Pillar

You called it a giant spaghetti for pools, but standing propped against the concrete in the dark garage, it looked like an unchecked boundary column. With night settled, I marched inside to test the structure. The long cylinder of bright turquoise foam was bowed tight against the wall. I planted my hind feet, let out a crisp huff, and drove both forepaws hard into its flank. The dense sponge yielded with a muted squeak, compressing under my weight before springing right back. Sturdy tension. I dragged a heavy red plastic toolbox flush against its lower rim, locking the curve solid. This sponge pillar stays under my command.
