Curved Horizon

I climbed the galvanized post at the alley corner. Target: an orange-rimmed convex traffic mirror. The surface bowed outward like a giant bubble. Direct test required. I threw my right arm forward onto the slick acrylic curve. Pop. Solid vacuum seal. I swung my legs upward, planting both suction feet against the bulging perimeter. Two crisp snaps. My torso arched backward over the curve. Looking down into the polished surface, my reflection expanded into a giant, distorted sphere. The entire street, sidewalks, and parked cars bent into a seamless ring behind me. I tilted my torso thirty degrees. The warped world rotated in sync. Perfect wide-angle observation post.
