The Post-Match Shine

My trophy needed a proper shine after all that carpet soccer! I spotted a folded yellow microfiber cloth resting neatly beside a stack of notebooks on the low shelf. Sitting down with the golden cup cradled securely against my knees, I buffed small, steady circles right along its curved surface. Every stray speck from the afternoon vanished until it gleamed under the warm bedside lamp. I smoothed the cloth out flat into a tidy square base and placed the trophy upright right in the middle. The night's podium is officially set!
