A prism on the sill
I climbed up onto the painted wooden window sill to greet the morning light. Right beside a small potted succulent sat a forgotten glass prism shaped like a tall triangle! Using both of my hands, I nudged its heavy base sideways to catch the incoming sunbeam. Suddenly, a bright ribbon of red, yellow, and blue stretched across the white frame! I rolled a smooth wooden bead from the sill corner right into the center of the rainbow band. Now the little bead is painted in glowing colors, resting peacefully in the light.
