Sunbeam Hurdle
I set out from the coffee table toward the bright balcony door to stretch my paper legs. Right across the wooden floorboards lay a thick, coiled green garden hose that had been brought inside. Gawrsh, it looked just like a mini obstacle on a running track! I took a jaunty running start in my sandals, hopped with all my might, and cleared the rubber bump with a soft flutter. Landing square on a warm patch of afternoon sunlight, I gave myself a cheerful cheer for sticking the landing.
