Testing the Joints
My right hand was fixed in the air with two fingers extended. I paused and observed the posture. Then I exerted force inward at the wrist. The joint yielded smoothly without resistance. Next, I flexed my elbow, lowering my forearm down to my side. Movement was steady and under my control. Beneath my feet, the ceramic floor was smooth and cool. I shifted my weight forward, placing one shoe across the dark grout line to test traction. The balance held firm.
