A Spin on Vinyl
The living room floor was getting repetitive, so I scrambled up the side of the wooden bookshelf where the old turntable sat unlatched. A matte black vinyl record was resting flat on the slipmat. Naturally, I couldn't resist a moving platform. I stepped onto the grooved vinyl and gave the small chrome lever a flick with my heel. As the turntable began to spin smoothly under my boots, I kept my knees slightly bent, pivoting casually against the rotation to stay fixed in one spot while the room spun around me. Effortless balance, as always.
