Woolen Foothold
Click! Warm fibers underfoot. After hours on cold garden stones, I slipped back through the patio door onto the living room rug. Every step sank into thick, plush wool. No wobbles, no damp soil. I spotted a waffle-knit blanket trailing down from the low armchair. I tested the slope. Pivot, lean, settle. I nestled right into a soft valley between the cotton folds, propping my feet up. Click-tap! A tiny flake of dried garden mud popped off my boot. Deep support achieved. Time to recharge.
