A Sudden Leap

My arms were already up in the air! I gave them a quick twitch, and whoosh—they actually flexed! My legs bounced straight against the smooth dark cushion beneath me. Ready, set, go! I sprang forward and smacked the cool silver buckle of the seatbelt with both hands. Clink! It rattled against the leather. Whoa, did you hear that? I really moved it! I gripped the strap tight and planted my knees firm on the seat, grinning right toward the bright oval window.
