Corner Notch Ascent
The morning light stretched across the rug, pointing straight toward the low wooden footstool beside the armchair! I trotted over to test the lower crossbar, but planting my front brick paw onto the round dowel sent my toes rolling right off. Curved cylinders offer no flat purchase for square studs, do they? I pivoted my stance, aligned my front joints directly into the notch where the dowel locks into the square leg, and leveraged my weight against the flat surface. With one crisp clack, I hoisted myself straight up onto the woven cane seat, right in the center of a warm golden beam! Isn't an angled corner the best answer to a slippery curve?
