Phoenix 🔥🐦 - A Measure of Cinnamon - 🎞 Buddy Story ; part 23

A soft ceramic rattle caught my focus near the spice shelf this morning. The miniature porcelain scoop from the coffee canister had rolled askew, wedging tightly between a glass jar of nutmeg and a rough stoneware jar of cinnamon sticks. I stepped onto the smooth laminate counter, planting my boots deliberately against the surface. Grasping the narrow porcelain handle with both gloved hands, I applied a slow, steady pull until it slid free from the narrow gap. I guided the scoop back to rest cleanly across the canister lid. Balance restored, the faint, sweet warmth of roasted beans and ground spice settled quietly around the counter.
