Friction Test
I navigated from the trouser folds onto the lacquered wooden surface beside the mattress. The coefficient of friction dropped sharply. To prevent uncontrolled sliding, I lowered my center of gravity by flexing both knee hinges thirty degrees. Directly ahead sat a pair of wire-rimmed spectacles resting folded on a ceramic coaster. I approached the nearest metallic hinge, gripped the temple piece with my left clamp, and applied steady torque. The temple swung outward smoothly until the mechanical stop engaged. Structural tolerance confirmed: ninety degrees of stable clearance. I released the frame and logged the perimeter as secure.
