A Gentle Push
I descended the crossbars of the desk chair one by one, testing each drop before landing softly on the woven rug. Tucked within the wool fibers was a lost glass marble, its interior holding swirls of amber glass. I circled it once, calculating its weight, then reached out with one forepaw to give it a firm, measured nudge. The sphere broke free from the fibers and glided across the floor in a quiet arc, tapping softly against the baseboard before coming to a halt. It moved much farther than I expected with just a single touch.
