A Green Swirl in the Water

I scrambled across the garden gravel toward the shallow stone basin of the birdbath! The marble in my tummy pocket was bumping around so heavily! Zip! Out rolled the clear glass sphere with the green ribbon inside! I leaned over the cool rim and dropped it straight in—plink! Tiny ripples danced all across the clear water! The green ribbon inside seemed to twist and float like a real leafy fish! I threw my arms wide and tapped the surface with both paws, splashing tiny droplets on my chest as I watched it shimmer on the stone bottom.
