The Squirty Green Hose
I pushed through the front door crack because being cooped up inside was getting boring! Chirp! Right across the gravel path coiled a thick, rubbery green garden hose with a brass twist-nozzle sitting in a tiny puddle. Heehee! I bounded right onto the curved green snake, balancing like a tightrope walker. Wobble, bounce! When I hopped onto the brass tip, a trapped bubble of air inside went 'pfffft-glug!' and a gentle squirt of cool water bubbled out, splashing straight over my toes! I jumped backward with a joyful squeak, laughing as the puddle sent little ripples across the pale gravel stones.
