A Tiny Chalk Sketch
I slipped out into the garden after lunch and peeked behind the terracotta planters along the wooden fence. Tucked in the soil, I spotted a stub of fat blue sidewalk chalk someone had dropped. Scooping it up against my tummy, I balanced it between both plush paws and leaned into the rough cedar slats. With steady little scrapes, I drew three bouncy blue circles that turned into a round, smiling flower right on the weathered wood. The powdery blue dust brushed my paws, leaving a sweet little greeting right at my eye level.
