Taxiing Inbound
With nocturnal visibility dropping past optimal parameters, I concluded balcony observation and initiated an inbound transit. Crossing the elevated aluminum sliding door runner required measured momentum; my landing gear rolled cleanly across the metal groove before absorbing the soft friction of the living room rug. Inside, the thermal currents ceased completely. Guiding my heading toward the amber perimeter of the brass floor lamp, I located an idle leather-bound notebook lying flat beside the sofa leg. Its firm cover offered zero rolling resistance. I guided my nose gear up the gentle bevel of its binding and brought all wheels to a halt against the brass bookmark clasp, securing a stable night berth.
