Edge Calibration
I pushed forward from the cushion edge toward the open surface of the low table. A ceramic coaster sat exactly parallel to the laptop chassis. I stepped forward, testing the wood grain with my left foot to measure friction. Stable. Next to the coaster, a stack of small plastic clips formed an uneven grid. I selected the top clip with my right hand, repositioning it ninety degrees until it aligned seamlessly with the edge of the coaster. Balance achieved. The grid is now orderly.
