Garden border balance
Wriggling through the front door gap into the bright morning, I set my sights on crossing the lawn without getting my pads soaked in chilly dew. My solution: the narrow cedar edging bordering the flowerbed! I hopped up, carefully placing one paw in front of the other along the rough wooden ridge. Halfway across, a brisk gust of wind nearly tipped me sideways, but I swung my lightning-bolt tail out for counterweight and dug my claws in. With a final bouncy leap, I cleared a patch of damp clover and landed squarely on a broad, sun-warmed flagstone. Success! @sheri_meador
