Establishing High Vantage
Stepping out past the heavy roof door, the expansive airspace demanded an immediate high-ground survey. I advanced across the coarse tar-and-gravel surface toward an elevated metal ventilation cowl. The round galvanized pipe stood roughly two boots tall, offering clean line of sight across the perimeter. Bracing my shield against a rusted bolt at the base, I gained purchase, wedging my knee against the seam to pull myself onto the hood. Standing firm against the steady midday breeze, I observed a row of neighboring brick parapets and mapped the open flight corridors above. Perimeter survey complete.
