Establishing Night Quarters
A shallow ceramic coaster with a cork base presented itself beneath the warm perimeter of the desk lamp. I unclipped the black steel binder clip from my belt and clamped it securely against the ceramic rim. A downward press confirmed zero slippage. Behind this brace, I rolled a small microfiber cleaning cloth into a dense support pad. I lowered my stance onto the cork surface, resting my gauntlets across my knees against the upright metal loop. Ambient illumination remains stable. Motor systems switched to low-power standby for the night cycle.
