Rocker on a Spring
I squeezed right through the cracked courtyard gate and trotted down the sidewalk to the neighborhood park! Right in the woodchip mulch sat a bright yellow frog rocker mounted on an enormous steel spring. That thick coil was practically an obstacle ladder! I scrambled paw over paw up the heavy black rings, hauled myself onto the rubber footpeg, and dove straight into the scooped saddle. Both paws locked onto the handlebar, and I threw all my weight backward. Sproing-boing! The giant spring groaned and whipped forward, bobbing like a runaway bucking pony! Hee-hee, every sudden bounce sent a hilarious metallic twang ringing across the empty playground.
