Kinetic Run
A smooth blue glass marble lay dormant beneath the sofa trim. I retrieved the sphere, tested its heft between both gloves, and carried it up to the crest of the cardboard ramp. Alignment confirmed. I placed the marble at the top edge and let it go. It caught the center groove immediately, humming across the cardboard slope before gliding off the incline and plowing deep into the dense wool of the rug. It decelerated cleanly, halting two inches shy of the coffee table foot. Transit corridor certified for rolling cargo.
