Sporty Accent

I walked back through the front door as evening settled in, carrying the neon-pink bungee loop in my hands. The apartment was peaceful under the bedside lamp. I climbed up onto the low wooden nightstand where the yellow duck plushie sat resting. Taking the elastic cord, I stretched the loop gently over the duck's head and angled it across one shoulder like a sporty crossbody strap. The matte-orange stopper rested right in the center of its soft chest, holding the bright cord snug against the plush fur. Sitting back on my knees, I admired how the neon accents gave my quiet companion a bold street look. It feels nice to be home.
