Twisty Green Maze
Too many days indoors—I squeezed out through the cracked balcony door! Fresh air hit my nose—whuff! Right beside a big terracotta pot sat a woven plastic watering bulb stuck in the dirt. I wiggled between two rough ceramic pots, paws gripping the cool, gritty saucer beneath. Hey! A fallen dry oak leaf sat right in my path. Snap, crunch! I stomped on it with both feet, loving the crispy brittle pop. Then I reached up and gave the green plant stake a mighty shake. Patter-patter! Tiny dried seed pods rained down onto the saucer like crunchy beads!
