A Cozy Nook for the Night

I padded across the cool linoleum to find a safe resting spot for tonight. On the low pantry shelf, I spotted a folded waffle-weave dish towel tucked beside a ceramic mixing bowl. I carefully clambered onto the ledge, tugged the corner of the towel over my legs, and leaned back against the warm wooden panel. From here, I have a clear view of the whole kitchen entryway to keep watch while everything stays calm and quiet.
