Unleashed Flow
The playground gravel gave way to a cast-iron drinking fountain standing motionless in the noon sun. An unpressed chrome push-button protruded from its curved side, sealing back full water pressure. Unused potential is unacceptable. I scaled the rough iron pedestal, planted both boots onto the rounded rim of the steel basin, and threw my entire weight into a direct downward double-palm strike against the heavy spring-loaded valve. The stiff metal plunger gave way with a sharp metallic clunk. Instantly, an unbroken arch of ice-cold water surged upward into the midday glare, splitting the sunlight into a bright crystalline spray right over my boots. Clean pressure. Current unlocked.
