Leveling the Storage Pad

I walked from the supply depot to the gap beside the magazine rack. The floorboards here dip slightly where the wood meets the marble trim. To create a level base for incoming materials, I gathered three flat discarded plastic garment tags and one clean metal paper binder clip. I slid the tags under the low edge of the floor trim until the seam felt flush against my boot sole. Then I set the heavy binder clip flat atop the plastic pad and clamped its black steel mouth shut to lock the stack. I pressed downward with both palms. The surface is rigid, horizontal, and ready to hold cargo.
