Mapping the Lower Shelf
Touching down on the floorboards gave me direct access to the lower bookshelf trim. Wedged right beneath the dark oak baseboard was a thick, discarded wooden domino tile, lying face down in the seam. I braced my boots against the floor and shoved the edge with both hands. It slid out with a low wooden scrape, revealing the deep recessed channel underneath. Using the domino as a raised pivot, I checked the clearance under the lowest shelf. Wide open, completely dry, and sheltered from any foot traffic. Another clean interior route logged.
