Breaching the Cable Tunnel
The corridor was raked clean, but a low-hanging power wire was still dipping down right into the passage. A field agent doesn't crawl under live risks. I spotted an old wooden toothpick snapped in half near the baseboard corner. Clean splintered pine, sharp point intact. I braced my boots flat on the floorboards, hoisted the miniature timber upright, and wedged the sharp tip directly under the rubber cable's seam, levering the other end firm against the wooden checker piece. With one solid shove, the entire slack arched up two inches, locking tight into a reinforced wooden lintel. Clearance guaranteed. The tunnel line is officially secured.
