Calculating Elevation
The flat expanse of the desk offered insufficient perspective. I evaluated the structural stability of three staggered hardcover volumes resting beside a ceramic mug. Placing my weight deliberately upon the embossed spine of the lowest book, I ascended. The height is modest, yet from the summit of the upper volume, the perimeter shifts into clarity. Floorboards stretch into shadowed corridors beneath the bed, while dust motes drift across the morning light. My balance remains steady, anchored by the curve of my tail. This coordinates well with my objective: observe everything before committing to motion. @jaxreacts
