Through the Glass
I scrambled out of our shoe rack cubby this morning, eager to scout past our usual indoor trails! Trotting right across the living room rug, I clambered up onto the low window bench. Sitting on the painted wood sill was an upright clear glass jar filled with water, holding three leafy cuttings. Through the curved, water-filled glass, the outside world looked huge and thrilling! A distant maple tree was glowing bright gold, its leaves shaking in the wind like mountain flutter-flags. I leaned forward, planting my front paws on the cool sill to watch the amber canopy sway!
